Charles de Poitiers,
Seigneur de Saint-Vallier

 

Charles II de POITIERS ( 1455), Lord of Saint-Vallier, is the son of Louis de Poitiers ( c. 1428) and of Catherine de Giac, his first wife. King's councillor and chamberlain, he married Anne de Montlaur ( 1436) in 1429, June. Charles de Poitiers fought with Joan of Arc to the siege of Paris. He was one of the first ones in the assault of the Saint-Honoré's gate on September 8, 1429, setting fire to a barbican. Governor of Provence, he died in 1455, February.
